Overview

Mechanical facade systems should not be chosen only by catalog image. The substrate condition, design weight, thermal build-up and the expected installation speed on site all change which system makes sense. A rail system may work well for one facade, while a board-backed or prefabricated module can be more rational for another.

When the substrate is uneven or the project needs fast dry installation, the support logic becomes the real decision point. Aluminium rail systems offer flexibility and access for adjustment, while board-backed or insulated modules can shorten site labor and improve repeatability. The trade-off is usually between adjustability, factory control and transport efficiency.

For export work, the correct question is not only what the system looks like, but how it arrives on site, how many layers are assembled locally and how predictable the final tolerance will be.
